Paint Correction

Paint correction is the mechanical leveling of clear coat or paint (clear coat is unpigmented paint, clear) to a point where all the paint is free of swirl marks and scratches.  Swirl marks are a “V” cut/slice in the paint where light bounces around in the valley of the scratch and exits.  This is how you see the swirl marks. If the paint was flat, with no valley, you wouldn’t have anywhere for the light to bounce around...that is where paint correction shines the best.

There are different levels of final results,  For example, not everyone needs or should have “perfect paint,” some are simply ok with much better, not perfect.  Not everyone looks at their paint with a flashlight.  This can be a straightforward and simple process, or a very labor intensive process where experience and knowledge are of the utmost importance depending on the car owner’s expectations.
We take the time to figure out the proper steps and use the correct products to achieve the desired!

HOW LONG SHOULD PAINT CORRECTION TAKE?
It can range from 5 to 30 plus hours. We have several  combinations of products, pads, and machines to get the job done right the first time.

We designed our packages in the paint correction category based on the last 25 years of experience in this field.

The Exquisite Package (3 Step) includes a heavy compound step, a medium polish step, and fine final polish step.  The reset is for those looking to really turn their car’s paint around and get back to square one with about 90% to 95% correction.

Estimated Service Time: 17- 40 Hours

When you want the car to look better than when you bought it, or if you are looking for the most you can get out of your brand new car paint, this is the process what you need. A total revamp of the exterior of the car.  This is the sort of detail that involves high powered lights to revive and restore the paint as close to perfect as the paint will allow. We will spend over 17 hours compounding and heavy polishing the paint only to then spend another 4 - 7  hours refining it to a high gloss finish.  The final result will look like a mirror with a lot of depth to it from all angles.  Also included will be a light interior detail cleanup

Swirls are fine thin scratches all over the paint that reflect back with light. They make cars look dull by diffusing the light and dulling the reflections. Swirls are caused by dirt or other contaminants rubbing against the paint. Low quality towels, dirty towels, and dirty wash sponges can cause very serious swirling. Automated car washes are at the top of the list for causing swirls. Their goal is speed and efficiency. Not quality and effectiveness. How many times have you seen dozens of cars waiting on line for the automated wash. How many cars is that in a year? 100’s? 1000’s? Now think of all of the dirt, rocks, and even road salt stuck on the car heading in before you. The debris gets all over the automated brushes and towels about to rub themselves up against your vehicle. Then the low grade towels being reused over and over.
